Our Story Starts With Family
As a local, family-owned company, we know El Paso’s culture. Baron Chemical is operated and run by the three Viramontes sisters: Wendy, Heidi, and Cynthia. Through their hard work and dedication, the Viramontes sisters have manifested a unique synergy into Baron Chemical that has kept the company up and running.
Continuously Enriching the El Paso Area for Close to a Century
What makes our facility so unique is that it’s been around for almost a century, and it still stands to this day. The Baron Chemical building has a long history as a commercial establishment. It’s been an El Paso mainstay since the early 1920s. During the height of the population growth in the late 1930s, our beautiful building became the first Sears, Roebuck, and Co. to open in El Paso. Bringing in this type of business perpetuated our already growing importance in the state of Texas, thus reinforcing its fundamental role as a vital border city.
Baron Chemical has served as a vessel for massive changes in El Paso. Our rich past motivates us to continue bringing prosperity throughout our equally compelling city for many years to come!
